We turn 5 at VAHDAM®!
While Vahdam turns 5, my father turns 62!
Happy Birthday Dad, and Vahdam Teas!
It’s been a gratifying day to look back and see the last 5 exciting years of my life and witnessing the brand reach to many, many tea lovers like yourself. Thanks to all our customers and stakeholders who have been a part of this vibrant family.
In the same breath, I would take the chance to tell you how eternally grateful forthe efforts of millions of tea farmers who brave the sun, rain, and hail to toil hard and bring us the gifts of this bountiful soil.
Here is the very first scribble of the original crest logo of Vahdam.
But this year is such a paradox and I guess I am not the only one who never thought that the whole world would grapple with a pandemic together and on such an unimaginable scale.
Hence, this Founder’s Day for me is all about being grateful for the privilege we have to be safe and to be blessed that our families are safe, sound, and healthy.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude for all the frontline workers who are risking their lives, every single day, to ensure that all of us can stay back in our homes, healthy, safe, and sound. You are the literal embodiment of the god right now and the world will always be in reverence of your service.
With the lockdown in effect, the entire team of Vahdam will be celebrating the 5th Founder’s Day with a virtual meet-up. For us, the need of the hour is to align our solidarities and extend our support to the tea industry workers and the estates, as much as we can, and that is what we are busy doing these days.
I am also excited to share our annual sustainability report. Apart from our TEAch Me Initiatives, this Earth Day, we proudly announced that we offset our carbon & plastic footprint, and commit to do that every year, going forward. To read our sustainability report for 2019-20, please click here.
Also, as a young brand, we are trying to do as much as we can during this tough time. Please read our work & plans for the future.
Last but not the least, I would request you readers to donate generously to our Covid19 fundraiser here.
Thank you & say safe.
