Gopaldhara Wonder Darjeeling First Flush Black Tea
This is a tea which can be enjoyed anywhere, anytime and will definetly take you in the misty hills of Darjeeling! The leaves are well-rolled, pale, blackish-green and with some olive flakes. The infusion is lightly toasty and is marked by notes of cooked spinach, dry bell pepper, and hint of cream in the undercurrents. The liquor starts out on a mellow and clean note of cooked beans, camphor, and carries a parsley-like freshness. With each sip sweetness of dried fruit along with hints of wood citrus and tree fruit emerge and develop in the middle. The liquor is light-bodied, mellow and soft throughout. This is a tea that is a tad edgier than other Darjeeling teas of the season, it’s one for those who enjoy a smooth and clean cup. The flavors are not too complex, but easy on the palate, making it a great all-day tea.
