Seeyok Muscatel Darjeeling Second Flush Black Tea
Truly a vibrant muscatel tea in every sense, courtesy of one of the finest tea estates of Darjeeling. This is a full-bodied chinary tea with true characters of a muscatel; bold flavors and an invigorating aroma of charred black grapes. The liquor is brisk and assertive with tannins prominent in the cup, almost like a bottle of fine Cabernet Sauvignon. The brownish-black leaves are medium-sized, well-rolled, and are interspersed with some flakes. The infusion carries mellow notes of wood and dried drupe, with a hint of burnt sugar. The liquor is medium-bodied and brisk which starts on a clean, earthy note, turning woody and astringent in the middle. It finishes on a crisp note, resembling the tartness of unripe grapes.
