How many tablespoons of tea does this tea maker hold?
Our Classic Tea Maker is spacious and can easily hold enough tea leaves to steep 4-5 cups.
What is the material of the infuser? Is it safe to use citrus fruits or spices in the infuser?
The square tea infuser is 100% stainless steel 18/8, grade 304 including the chain and hook. It is absolutely safe to use with products like tea leaves, hot water, lemon etc.
Is the mesh extra fine to filter fine tea debris?
The high-quality mesh is ultra-fine and can filter tea and debris of any kind like spices, herbs etc.
For years I had used my Grandmother's infuser. It is very old, as in more than 50 years. The holes in it are big enough that too many particles seep out. I had been looking for something to replace it with. This came up while I was searching in teas. I am extremely happy with it. It cleans easily. I no longer have particulates in my tea. You can use it for making a pot of tea or a cup of tea. It sits nicely in either. I did find that pouring the water over the tea and then putting the lid on to allow it to steep works much better versus pouring the water into the pot, then adding the infuser. I have since purchased another for my mother.
Loved the brewer! It's stylish and highly functional. This little item has become a standard tea making tool in my kitchen.
Although the photo of the tea strainer shows two handles it came with only one. Product not broken, just had one handle. Therefore it does not sit on the mug properly.
Strainer is well made and should last a lifetime. Good value!
It’s very useful for my purposes. Wish the top sealed / screwed on/off. But it’s good.
