    Know your Tea Better

What is the shelf life of products?

All Vahdam Teas have a shelf-life of 3 years from the Date of Picking/Harvest. The 'Date of Expiry' are mentioned on the bottom of all our boxes.

    Where are your Teas from?

We source our teas from over 150 renowned plantations and small individual farms in India. Within the country, we procure from 5 popular tea-producing regions, namely: Darjeeling, Assam, Nilgiri, Kangra, and Sikkim.

    How are the Teas packaged?

After sourcing our teas directly from plantations within hours of harvest, we bring them to our state-of-the-art tea facility in New Delhi, India. The teas then go through rigorous rounds of cleaning, sorting, quality testing to remove any impurities/dust/foreign particles. Post 10+ quality checkpoints for leaf size, aroma, liquor, flavors etc. these are vacuum-packaged in opaque aluminum-lined bags using sophisticated machinery. These vacuum-bags are then stored in a dehumidified, temperature-controlled warehouse which ensures that the teas remain garden-fresh and maintain their character. Further, required quantities are packed in smaller vacuum-sealed packs which are boxed in the retail boxes and then sent over to our own delivery centers located in various parts of the world.

    Give it a try!

I was looking for a new black breakfast tea to try. Upon opening the package, the smell was really unusual and I wasn't sure if I would like it. I usually drink black tea with milk and tried it twice but didn't like it - the milk completely overpowers this tea, no matter how long you steep it. Then, I tried it with honey and it was delicious! I have it every morning now and look forward to it. It has a strong woody flavor, is light in color, and finishes with a slightly fruity aftertaste. Uplifting with just the right amount of caffeine in a cup. Great for breakfast or brunch!

    One of my favorites!

I love Himalayan Breakfast. It's not the strongest breakfast tea - weaker than Vahdam's English Breakfast, and certainly weaker than most CTC-type breakfast blends. However, Himalayan has a terrific and slightly fruity flavor. The aroma is great. The liquor is light to medium, but the taste is a little stronger than it looks. Personally, I prefer it as a late morning or a mid afternoon tea.

    Thumbs up

Up a notch up from my usual Irish/Scottish/English breakfast teas...very interesting “taste”....edgy (probably not for everyone) but a real waker -upper and I love it!

    A surprise...but a pleasant one

As with the Assam Enigma, this was not the morning breakfast tea I expected. It was delicate, but also had a unique and pronounced fragrance and taste. This was so different from my usual English Breakfast, Scottish Breakfast or Irish Breakfast tea, I feel like I have to have it a few more times to understand it. This is why I bought the Vahdam tea though, to experience something new!
