Okayti Tea Estate Such was the consistently high quality of teas from this estate, that in the London auctions, they came to be known as ‚Äė the only okay tea‚Äô! No wonder, the name of the tea estate was changed from Rangdoo to Okayti. Okayti teas have were served at the Buckingham Palace prior to India‚Äôs independence in 1947. Queen Elizabeth, Jawaharlal Nehru - independent India‚Äôs first Prime Minister, and Nikita Khrushchev - the Soviet leader, were among the many ardent admirers of Okayti teas. Tea is grown between 4,000 feet to 6,800 feet and manufactured at the Okayti factory which was built way back in 1888 and has proudly stood the test of time. Today, Okayti is a 100% bio-organic certified tea estate.
